Wildlife Wonders at Busch Wildlife Sanctuary

Our next adventure took educators into the heart of Florida’s natural habitats. Wildlife Wonders: Engaging K–12 Learners Through Interdisciplinary Conservation, Standards-Aligned Exploration, and Career Pathways brought together the expertise of Dr. Bryan Nichols, an FAU Professor of environmental education, and Rebecca Reid from Busch Wildlife Sanctuary.

Participants met native species up close, explored wildlife rehabilitation efforts firsthand, and discovered ways to weave conservation themes into standards-based instruction. Through interactive activities, teachers saw how science lessons can connect students with real-world environmental issues and even introduce career pathways in conservation and STEM.
