Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing the world around us—and educators are asking important questions about how AI can be used thoughtfully, responsibly, and effectively in education. We are grateful to Jennifer Donais, our distinguished subject-matter expert, for facilitating an AI professional learning experience for Broward County Public Schools instructional leaders, providing participants with opportunities to explore AI tools, applications, and strategies to support teaching and learning. Through hands-on exploration and collaborative discussion, educators considered how artificial intelligence can support creativity, instructional innovation, and student learning while also examining the important role educators play in helping students navigate this rapidly evolving technology. The future is already here, and South Florida educators are leading the way!
