Empowering Deeper Learning Through Student-Centered Teaching

On October 17, the Center for Educational Strategy & Innovation hosted four virtual Stiles-Nicholson STEM Teacher Academy workshops facilitated by CTLG Consulting.

Eric Rhoades led Designing for Deeper Learning: Tools to Build Student-Centered Classrooms and Empowering Learning through Performance Tasks (Science Version) , while Skip Tyler led Visible Thinking, Reflective Learners: Integrating Reasoning Routines and Metacognition and Empowering Learning through Performance Tasks (Math Version) . Educators explored practical strategies for student-centered instruction, authentic assessment, and making student thinking visible.
