South Florida Science through Art

This lesson explores how AI can support engineering decisions in the aftermath of natural disasters. Students analyze satellite data to identify damage, apply data visualization techniques, and use engineering and project management principles to design an optimized cleanup and recovery schedule.

  • Attendees will learn to integrate Florida-specific science topics into an art curriculum.
  • Attendees will discuss and reflect on the importance of place-based learning for our students in Florida.
  • Attendees will celebrate the unique natural and cultural landscape of Florida!
  • Attendees will consider the importance of fact based detail in the assessment of student understanding.
