Inquiry as Art: Sparking Critical Thinking in PBL through Creativity

This interactive workshop helps STEM teachers bring art into their classrooms with low- to no-mess strategies that fit seamlessly into busy schedules. By pairing proactive behavior management and smart classroom organization with low-cost creative experiences, participants will discover how art integration can elevate inquiry, critical thinking, and fact-based evidence of understanding within the project-based learning model. Explore engaging interdisciplinary projects for grades K–5, learn strategies for teaching artistic behavior, managing materials, and grading with fairness and logic, and practice hands-on activities that require no prior art experience. Walk away with ready-to-use lesson plans, drawing guides, and new professional connections—all while enjoying plenty of fun and laughter. All levels welcome!

Participants of this workshop will receive a free classroom STEAM kit to use with up to 25 students.
