2026-2027 Action Research Fellow Cohort
We invite full‑time K–12 educators from public and private schools across Florida to apply. Ideal candidates are curious, bold thinkers eager to drive meaningful change through research in practice.

How Does it Work?
- Graduate Course (Fall 2026): Fellows complete a 3-credit, online FAU course to build core competencies in data literacy, inquiry, and research design, supported by mentors and facilitators.
- Classroom Action Research: Identify a challenge, design an intervention, collect/analyze data, and iterate practices to improve student learning within a supportive cohort.
- Dissemination:
- Present at the Brainwaves Action Research Symposium.
- Publish in peer-reviewed outlets, with guided support through the process.
- Ongoing Support & Recognition: Fellows receive mentorship, may engage in workshops/retreats, and are recognized statewide as CESI Action Research Fellows.
Costs & Funding
Tuition for the 3-credit graduate course is fully covered by the Center for Educational Strategy and Innovation. However, participants are responsible for any associated fees, including the Florida Atlantic University non-degree application fee of $30.
How Do I Apply?
Submit your application by the posted deadline. Cohort spaces are limited to ten (10) educators statewide.
The application will request information on applicants’ current teaching assignment, interest in the fellow, research interests and impact, résumé or CV, as well as a supervisor letter of support, and an optional writing sample.
