Florida Atlantic Laboratory Schools

Founded in 1968, Alexander D. Henderson University School (ADHUS) is a K-8 public developmental research school on the Boca Raton campus of Florida Atlantic University. In 2004, the Florida Atlantic Lab Schools expanded to include FAU High School to serve academically talented students in a fully immersed college dual-enrollment model.

In 2018, the Associated Press proclaimed our high school as a one-of-a-kind program. Additionally, the National Association of Secondary School Principals further confirmed that they “know of no similar program” in the world.

Together, A.D. Henderson and FAU High School are an exemplary national model for school systems and teacher preparation programs to improve education for diverse student populations through innovative, faculty-developed research and curriculum.

FAU High School is the only early college school in the country that has every one of its students working toward a cost-free bachelor's degree and high school diploma simultaneously. It paves the way for students to graduate college debt-free. Considering the school's Title I status, this is an incredible opportunity for underrepresented students.

Through the emphasis on dual-enrollment coursework, career counseling, and social-emotional supports, FAU High School students typically graduate high school with over three years of college credits. Additionally, since 2004, 88 students have graduated with their bachelor's degrees prior to graduating high school
