This workshop is proudly offered through the Center for Educational Strategy & Innovation at Florida Atlantic Laboratory Schools, a hub for advancing research-driven educational practices.

Infusing STEM Skills in the classroom (Level 1-2: Getting started in STEM) workshop is designed as an advanced level program for educators seeking to deepen their skills in the STEM arena. Following on from Level 1, this training provides a comprehensive exploration of STEM topics, with an emphasis on applying innovative teaching strategies and cultivating a passion for STEM subjects among students. Throughout this dynamic workshop, participants will delve into advanced STEM pedagogical approaches, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. They will also explore resources and tools that facilitate effective STEM teaching, equipping students with 21st-century skills to succeed in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. The workshop encourages teachers to reflect on their teaching methods and attitudes towards STEM, empowering them to transform their classrooms into engaging, student-centered learning environments. By the end of the session, participants will not only have enhanced their STEM teaching competencies but will also have developed strategies to ignite a lifelong passion for STEM in their students. "STEM Launchpad" ultimately serves as a critical springboard for educators, propelling their teaching practice to new heights in the world of STEM education.
