Empowering Learning through Performance Tasks

This workshop is proudly offered through the Center for Educational Strategy & Innovation at Florida Atlantic Laboratory Schools, a hub for advancing research-driven educational practices.
This interactive workshop engages educators in designing and facilitating meaningful tasks that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, reasoning, and representation among students. Participants will explore strategies to create performance-based learning experiences that deepen student understanding and encourage active participation. Through hands-on activities and real-world examples, educators will gain practical tools to empower their students to think critically, collaborate effectively, and articulate their reasoning. Attendees will leave with actionable approaches to implement performance tasks that foster essential skills for academic success and lifelong learning.
